David's house: author- and scholar-apartment

Dear authors and scholars! Applications for staying in the author- and scholar-apartment in David's house will be the same as past years.

1st of September 2023: This date marks the beginning of the application-period for the year of 2024 and it's ending on September 30th. After that applications will be evaluated and applicants notified whether their application has been accepted. If there are weeks available after the application period has ended, it will be enough to send the undersigned an email. Applicants are encouraged to be thorough and inventive in their applications, provide information about themselves and their works they intend to work on while staying there. Good applications increase the possibility of getting the apartment. It is also recommended that you mention an extra period in your application if the main one is not going to be free.

The author- and scholar-apartment is rented for a week at a time, at the most four weeks at once. The rent for one week is 27.500 ISK and 82.500 ISK for one month. What's inside: bedroom, living room, work room with sofa bed, kitchen and a bathroom. TV, washing machine and dryer are there as well, also the most common furnishings, cutlery and linen, and also a free WiFi. Applicants are supposed to return the apartment in the same condition as it was in the beginning. You can leave out washing and cleaning but then 14.000 ISK will be added to the rent.
