Home delivery

The elderly and others that can't go to the library can register for the library's home delivery service.

The Soroptimists Club of Akureyri handles the delivery every second Thursday and also takes care of returning the books from the home delivery service.

The library's employees take care of the home deliveries on Mondays and Tuesdays during those weeks when books are delivered home and collect books according to everyone's wishes and taste. Borrowers can also ask for a phonecall before each delivery or call themselves, if they have particular booktitles in mind.
