The house of the Municipal Library of Akureyri turns 55 yrs old!

The Municipal Library of Akureyri is the oldest institution of the Akureyri municipality. The building by Brekkugata 17 was formally opened on November 9th, 1968, and will therefore turn 55 yrs old next Thursday (9th of November).

We want to celebrate this and „hijack“ the big TV screen in the exhibition area for a picture show that day. We will also offer some refreshments.

There are plenty of pictures but you can see between 70-80 of or inside the building. Hopefully you'll enjoy this!
