Happy New Year!!

Dearest patrons! The staff of the Municipal Library of Akureyri sends you its warmest wishes for a happy new year! We thank you for the companionship and borrowing so much in 2023 and we look forward to 2024!

We do not have the exact statistics on borrowing or attendance, but we'll probably make them public in some form in the beginning of next year, but 2023 was an eventful year. Cake tins and board games kept on being "rushed out" (borrowed a lot), some books were more popular than others and even the DVDs were being borrowed! People seemed to really like the lengthened opening hours in November and December (Tuesdays and Thursdays). This will most likely be repeated next year but please follow what's happening with us here through the webpage, event calendar and of course social media.
