Week 17 is the international week of the Sustainable Development Goals in libraries.
In celebration of the week various events related to the SDG's will take place at the library.
Throughout the week, from Monday, April 22nd to Monday, April 29th you can participate in a Litter Picking Bingo. Bingo cards will be available at the library where you can also borrow litter picking sticks. Those who manage to pick litter from every category can turn in their bingo cards to the library and have a chance of winning a prince and the title Litter Picker of Amtsbókasafnið 2024!
Cards must be submitted by Tuesday, April 30th.
We encourage you to attend the event in an environmentally friendly manner. Akureyri bus system is free and all buses stop in the city center 300 meters from the library.
