Children and teenagers

Welcome to the Children's Department, located on the ground floor of the library.

We put an emphasis on children's and youth work with story times, and school and kindergarten visits. We also offer library tours and story times for groups. We want the children to get to know their library, to see what items and services are available. The groups are welcome for both general visits and in connection with thematic events.

The children's librarian is Eydís Stefanía Kristjánsdóttir.

Her working hours are:

  • 8-14 Mondays
  • 8-14 Tuesdays
  • 8-13 Wednesdays
  • 8-12, 16-18 Thursdays
  • 8-12 Fridays
