Summer Solstice Festival

The inhabitants of Grímsey, Iceland’s northernmost inhabited island and the only part of the country that lies on the Arctic Circle, celebrate the summer solstice from June 21st to 22nd with a family festival, offering visitors a chance to participate in the celebrations.

The ferry Sæfari will sail between Dalvík and Grímsey five days a week, while Norlandair flies between Akureyri and Grímsey on Tuesdays and Sundays.
