International movie club?

Dear patrons! Our clubs are popular and activity their is growing. We are going to try to add one club - international movie club - where we come together at the library, people with different backgrounds and experience, watch a movie and maybe have discussions about it afterwards.

Everyone is welcome but emphasis will be put on people who don't have Icelandic as their first language, that they can come together and enjoy the evening in good company. Discussions would always be in English.

If this is a success, we will continue this fall. But until then please feel free to tell us what you would like to see and experience, what can be better, do you want to be on a postlist or get news ... or just come when movies will be shown. We'll aim at starting at 7:30 pm, on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Library on Thursday nights, 1-2 times every month. Since the library is closed during these hours the entrance to the showings will be on the west side of the building, where parking places for employees are (back of the building).

We will of course advertise this better, but the first movie showing will take place on Thursday, March 16th, at 7.30 pm and we'll watch Sódóma Reykjavík (English: Remote Control). Please contact us if there is anything you want to ask: doddi@amtsbok.is
