This exhibition is celebrating and honoring Alfie Atkins and of course his author, Gunilla Bergström, because of his 50 year old birthday last year. It was in 1972 when the first book about him was published in Swedish.
At the exhibition there is a helicopter that children can climb into, cardboard pictures of Alfie and his dad where you can take pictures through holes in their faces, cozy sofa and cushions, posters and more. On a table in the exhibition area there are bags with games, cuddly figures, blocks, book and more (in Icelandic). They are lent out for 14 days and can be borrowed via the self service machines.
Pictures say more than thousand words and therefore we look forward to seeing you here at the library to enjoy the exhibition. But we include pictures here as well.
The exhibition runs through 18th of July.
