Det interkulturelle Center- Akureyri intercultural center -er stedet, hvor udlændinge, bosat her for kortere eller længere perioder, mödes.
Centerets personale er udlændingenes talerör, og centeret varetager deres interesser.
Centeret tilbyder:
Information og hjælp: Man kan komme eller telefonere, hvis man har spörgsamaal vedr. skoler eller sociale forhold, skat eller forsikringer, sundhedsvæsen, kurser i islandsk, opholds-og arbejdstilladelse og meget andet.
Kurser og oplysning: Centeret arrangerer sprogkurser i islandsk for udlændinge baade for begyndere og viderekomne. Desuden afholdes kurser om multikultur, det islandske samfund, det islandske skattesystem og andet.
Tolkning: Det interkulturelle center skaffer tolke og oversættere, hvor der er behov for det, som f. eks i skolerne, indenfor sundheds- og socialvæsenet, hos advokater og domstole eller i erhvervslivet.
Det interkulturelle Center drives af Akureyri kommune og samarbejder kommunalt og landsdækkende med andre instanser om specielle emner.

Akureyri Interkultur Zentrum ist für Leute, die aus anderen Ländern in Island eingereist sind und im Akureyri Gebiet wohnen.
Das Personal im Zentrum leistet Mitwirkung und Beratung und das Interkulturzentrum ist die Verhandlungsstelle für Sachen betreffs Angehöriger aus anderen Ländern.
Zu den Leistungen des Zentrums gehören: Information und Beratung. Leute, die Dienste oder Mitwirkung suchen, können sich ans Zentrum wenden oder sie können Kontakt per Telephon aufnehmen um Information und Beratung zu erhalten in Verbindung mit Schulen, sozialen Diensten, Steuern, Versicherungen, Gesundheitsdiensten, isländischen Sprachkursen, Aufenthaltserlaubnissen, Arbeitserlaubnissen usw.
Kurse und Unterricht: Das Interkulturzentrum bietet Ausländern Sprachkurse für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene in isländisch an.
Außerdem werden Kurse angeboten über Multikultur, isländische Gesellschaft, die Steuern usw.
Dolmetscherdienste: Das Interkulturzentrum schafft Dolmetscher und Übersetzer an für Individuen, Geschäfte und Institutionen wie Anwaltsbüros, Schulen, Krankenhäuser, den Bezirksrichter usw.
Das Interkulturzentrum ist unter der Direktion von der Stadt Akureyri und arbeitet zusammen mit vielen örtlichen und nationalen Institutionen.

Akureyri intercultural centre is intended as a service point for people of foreign origin, citizens of other countries and those who have recently made their homes in Iceland. The centre specialises in services and issues relating to people from abroad and looks after their interests.
The intercultural centre is operated by Akureyri Municipality in co-operation with a large number of other parties and agencies in Akureyri, and in the whole of Iceland, in relation to specific topics and issues.
The operations of the intercultural centre is advisory and information services:
The centre can be visited, or consulted by telephone, for advice regarding education, social services, taxation, insurance, health services, courses in Icelandic, residence and employment permits as well as numerous other issues.
Interpretation:
The intercultural centre has contacts with interpreters and translators for the benefit of organisations which may need such services and to help the personnel of various organisations to provide the information required of them. Such organisations are for example, hospitals, social departments, kindergartens etc.
Courses and educational projects:
The centre provides instruction and education on intercultural matters, Icelandic society, Icelandic for foreigners and on specific countries and cultural areas.

· Informiranje i pru?anje pravnih savjeta: ukoliko ?elite dobiti informacije ili stru?ni savjet o ?kolstvu, socijalnoj slu?bi, poreskom sistemu, osiguranju, zdravstvu, te?ajevima islandskog jezika, radnoj i boravi?noj dozvoli i sl. mo?ete nas posjetiti ili pozvati telefonom.
· Organiziranje te?ajeva i raznih predavanja: Me?unarodni kulturni centar nudi te?ajeve islandskog jezika bilo da je rije? o po?etni?kom te?aju ili te?aju vi?eg stupnja; organizira predavanja o multietni?kom dru?tvu, islandskoj zajednici, islandskom poreskom sistemu itd.
· Prevodila?ka slu?ba: ova institucija obezbje?uje prevodila?ke usluge kako za pojedince tako i za ustanove kojima je ona neophodna kako bi se ?eljene informacije prenijele bez mogu?ih nesporazuma. U ove ustanove ubrajaju se ?kole, zdravstvene ustanove, organi dr?avne vlasti itd.

Conocimientos sobre el sistema de impuestos.
Traduciones : La oficina Internacional le ofrece interpretes y traductores para las personas que lo nesecitan,como tambien para empresas y establecimientos,oficinas de abogados, colegios, hospitales, Alcaldia. etc.
La oficina Internacional : esta financiada,por la Alcaldia de la Ciudad de Akureyri,en conjunto con varios establecimientos y entidades de la ciudad y dentro del pais.
