Akureyri Intercultural Centre

Akureyri intercultural centre is intended as a service point for people of foreign origin, citizens of other countries and those who have made their homes in Iceland. The centre specializes in services and issues related to foreigners in Akureyri and looks after their interests.

The Intercultural-center is an information and consulting service for foreigners in the Akureyri area, the center provides translators as well as general education on multicultural matters in institutes, companies and schools.
The centre can be visited, or consulted by telephone, for advice regarding education, social services, taxation, insurance, health services, courses in Icelandic, residence and employment permits as well as numerous other issues.

The Intercultural-center is located at Akureyri's town hall, at Geislagata 9, 600 Akureyri.
Open hours are:

Mondays: 08:00-12.00

Tuesday: 12:00 -16:00

Wednesdays: 08:00-16:00

Thursdays: 08:00-16:00, a polish-speaking counselor

Fridays: 12:00 - 16:00

It's also possible to book counseling on other days of the week, except for weekends.

– er málsvari útlendinga og vettvangur fyrir málefni þeirra. Starfsemi Alþjóðastofu byggir á upplýsingaþjónustu, ráðgjöf og fræðslu við útlendinga, miðlun túlka og almenna fræðslu um útlendingamál í fyrirtækjum, skólum og stofnunum.
Aðsetur Alþjóðastofu er í Ráðhúsinu á Akureyri, Geislagötu 9, 600 Akureyri.

Opnunartímar eru sem hér segir:

Mánudagar: 08:00-12:00

Þriðjudagar: 12:00-16:00

Miðvikudagar: 08:00-16:00
Fimmtudagar: 08:00-16:00, pólskur ráðgjafi

Föstudagar: 12:00-16:00

Einnig er hægt að panta ráðgjöf utan almenns opnunartíma, að helgum undanskildum.
